Dr. Mike Van Horn Bids Farewell to Woodside Animal Hospital
May 17, 2024

Dear Woodside Clients and Friends,

After almost 20 years as owner and Veterinarian at Woodside Animal Hospital the time has come for me to move in a new direction. I do so with mixed emotions. Having known many of you for so long, I will truly miss you and the generations of pets that you have allowed me the privilege to know and treat. I have been honored and humbled to have been the recipient of your trust throughout the years. It has been a pleasure to work with you as a team in helping your furry companions. Working together you and I have, I hope, helped make many of your pets lives happier, healthier, and longer. I hope I am not out of line in saying that I consider many of you my friends. There were many good times and, unavoidably, some sad times; I thank you for all the years of trust.

As some of you may know I am moving east for the next phase of my life. Although I will continue practicing Veterinary Medicine (I am not quite ready to retire yet!), it will be very different without you and the dedicated team here at Woodside. The very special people we have here are very dear to my heart and many of them I can honestly say I consider as if they are my own sons and daughters. They will remain to support you and your pets for years to come.

The Doctors here, including Dr. Crowson, Dr. Hollister, and Dr. Reusch are all extremely talented and dedicated, and they will remain to continue caring for your pets. I have always and continue to trust all of them with my own cherished pets. The wonderful Veterinary Technicians, Assistants, and kennel staff led by Indy are the ones I have always trusted and wanted to be performing treatments on my own pets. The reception staff led by Ashlee will continue to do their magic and our Hospital Manager, Kerry, with the help of Jen, our assistant hospital manager, are still here even after over 30 years at Woodside!

Again, thank you for all the years of trust and friendship. I will honestly miss you and your pets and I assure you they continue to be in good hands.

Sincerely,

Mike Van Horn, DVM
